Vice President of Litigation Management

Since joining the company in 2010, Ms. Mastrogiovanni has brought her knowledge and experience in defending medical providers in medical negligence to the company. In her capacity as Vice President, Litigation Management, Ms. Mastrogiovanni oversees the management of professional liability claims and litigation, including supervision catastrophic, high exposure liability claims in all medical specialties. Ms. Mastrogiovanni further provides consultations to our insured providers on managing patient complaints, managing medical incidents prior to litigation, and overall risk management strategies.

Prior to joining AMS Management Group in 2010, Ms. Mastrogiovanni spent over 13 years in private practice as a trial and appellate attorney, first at a large national lawfirm and then later at a boutique trial firm. Her legal practice included healthcare liability defense, insurance coverage, commercial litigation, and appellate law.

Ms. Mastrogiovanni received her undergraduate degree (with honors) from Oklahoma Baptist University in voice performance and her Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Ms. Mastrogiovanni further served as an intern for the Hon. Jorge Solis, United States District Court, Northern District of Texas, from June 1995 to February 1996.

Ms. Mastrogiovanni is a frequent presenter on the impact of healthcare trends on professional liability. She is a member of the claims committee for the MPL Association, a leading trade association representing domestic and international medical professional liability companies. Ms. Mastrogiovanni is a licensed attorney in the state of Texas, a member of the Defense Research Institute, a fellow of The CLM, and is a past associate member of the Patrick J. Higginbotham Inns of Court.
